Control Strategy Committee: Indirect Sources Technical Work Group
The goal of Indirect Source Programs is to reduce emissions from high traffic locations, or trip attractors and generators, where the construction or operation of a facility, building, or structure attracts, or may attract, mobile sources of pollution.
Mission
This Work Group will seek to:
- Identify and review existing Indirect Source Rules in other regions around the country
- Identify potential benefits and roadblocks for establishing various types of Indirect Source Programs in the Denver Metro/North Front Range
- If appropriate measures are developed, draft and collect comments on a proposed framework to establish a program in the DM/NFR
Subgroups
The Work Group has formed four subgroups to explore opportunities to reduce emissions from specific indirect source types: warehouses, entertainment venues, airports, and universities.
More information on this potential air pollution control strategy is available on the Indirect Sources webpage.
